Review
What MouseSpecs thinks about this mouse.
One of the most iconic mouse by Mad Catz, the R.A.T. PRO S3 has been there in the market since 2019 and it represents yet a part of gamers audience.
Available in black or white, equipped with PMW 3330, this sensor is not offering, for obvious reasons, the highest specs we can find nowadays.
However, it seems that players are still rewarding this device as it is being sold at retailers (it would be really interesting to discuss the real connection between sensor specs and player’s in-game ability).
One of the key success factors of the device is the Pro Slide Technology which lets players vary the levels of resistance and so change the way friction effects mouse speed.
In this way it is possible to find the perfect balance, depending on the mouse pad you are using and its material.
This model, like some others from Mad Catz, allows players to use the Precision Aim button, placed on the side of the device.
It gives you the ability to increase or decrease the tracking speed with a single button press, for better aiming accuracy.
Aside the R.A.T. Pro S3 capabilities that we have seen, I think that the attractive Mad Catz design is one of the mouse’s features that are making this product still attractive.
